Inside the center
Fitness, music, art, and real connection — a look at what a day with us actually feels like.
SAI Connections runs a recreational adult day program in Van Nuys for young adults and adults with developmental disabilities — including autism, ADHD, developmental delays, and other developmental and behavioral differences. We serve Van Nuys and the greater San Fernando Valley.
Our days are built around doing. Every activity — movement, music, art, technology, connection — is adapted so each person can take part at their own pace, in a warm, social space designed around one idea: everyone deserves to belong. We meet each person exactly where they are — with every program led by highly credentialed professionals.
Our recreational day program gives young adults and adults of all abilities a full, engaging day built around connection, creativity, and growth. No two days are the same. Mornings might open with fitness or music; afternoons with pottery, a group art project, social skills, or time in the computer lab. Participants move between activities in small groups, supported by caring staff who know them by name. It's structured enough to feel steady, and open enough to feel like fun — a welcoming place where adults with special needs build skills, confidence, and real friendships, every day.
Each program is hands-on, social, and adapted for every ability.

In our computer lab, participants discover the exciting world of technology — from AI, animation, and digital art to hands-on educational programs. They build real, practical digital skills through typing practice and computer-based learning, and explore their creativity with our 3D printer, where students can design and print projects of their own. It's a place to learn, create, and have fun with the tools shaping today's world.
